About This Spot

Stepping into Ariano, you’re greeted by a warm embrace of Tuscan charm nestled in the heart of Media. This inviting spot feels like a well-loved neighborhood hideaway where the buzz of conversation mingles effortlessly with the clink of glasses and the soft hum of laughter. The atmosphere strikes a balance between relaxed sophistication and intimate comfort, making it ideal for a quiet dinner or a lively evening with friends. Upstairs seating offers large windows that frame the lively street scene below, while an airy, almost outdoorsy vibe invites you to linger over each moment.

The pace here is unhurried, allowing each course and cocktail to unfold naturally. Ariano’s Southern Italian roots come alive not through a checklist of dishes but through the thoughtful presence of every flavor and aroma. The kitchen’s touch is evident in everything from the light, fresh pasta that carries subtle yet vibrant sauces to handcrafted pizzas topped with thoughtful combinations that feel both familiar and inventive. It’s the kind of place where the savory richness of meatballs or the delicate crunch of pistachio-crusted salmon becomes part of an easy conversation, effortlessly paired with a glass of wine or a cocktail crafted with genuine care—whether a perfectly balanced espresso martini or a bright, tangy sangria that lifts the spirit.

The bar scene at Ariano hints at playful creativity without ever overshadowing the meal. Drinks feel like companions in the experience rather than main attractions, encouraging guests to savor the moment fully. You might find yourself starting the evening with a double espresso or an affogato and winding down with the velvety edges of tiramisu or the subtle sweetness of a Nutella pizza shared between friends.

What stands out isn’t just the food or drinks but the way the staff moves through the space—attentive without intruding, knowledgeable without pretense. The ease of service pairs beautifully with the restaurant’s unforced elegance, and the inviting ambiance encourages guests to slow down and settle in, whether they’re heading out for a show nearby or simply making the night their own.

At Ariano, the true joy comes in discovering those quiet, authentic moments: a shared plate, a raised glass, a laugh lingering in the warm glow of an evening spent well. It’s quietly distinctive, a space that feels as much like a welcoming home as it does a refined southern Italian escape.

Beautiful upstairs seating area! Outdoorsy feel with the warmth of the inside. Our two servers did a beautiful job with the tag team effort. We did a couple of appetizers shared for the table along with desserts that were delicious. The pasta was light and fresh and the sauces were amazing. Can’t wait to go back again. They had very nice drink selections as well. Had an old-fashioned that was perfectly made.

We had an amazing meal with wonderful service! The hand crafted cocktails are so creative and delicious. We had the artichoke appetizer, spicy crab pasta, snapper, and then desserts. We can’t say enough about this place. Only drawback is that this and other nice eateries are not willing to ask people with completely unruly young children to leave (or even control them).

Perfect location in Media to have dinner before a show at the theater. Cocktails (I had the espresso martini and a glass of Cabernet) and food (I had the branzino and my friend got chicken parm & pasta- it’s homemade, so good!! And we shared the charred romaine Caesar salad) are on point. Service is friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Love the Tuscan vibe, window seating is beautiful, sunset is lovely. Highly recommend!

Had a great early dinner while exploring the area. I had the eggplant dish. ( Nonna Madalena) This was a bit of a different take on your typical eggplant parmesan. Layers of crispy non bitter eggplant. Lightly breaded and fried to perfection. Light with no heavy oil. Interspaced layers of burrata, ricotta and Parmesan with spinach. This was sitting on a bed of vodka sauce, ringed with a pesto olive oil. Absolutely delicious. We did ask for some bread as the sauces were so good. We cleaned our plates. We even brought home a short rib pizza as we were having an early dinner. This too was delicious, though a tinge spicy.

Nice atmosphere. The upstairs has large windows looking out over the streets. Food was very good and prices were reasonable for the quality of food.

Awesome authentic Italian restaurant. Upstairs seating is quaint and feels like you're in the heart of Italy with the ambiance. Arancini with crab and lobster were the hit of the meal. Service was excellent as well. Will be back!

Fantastic food, fantastic drinks, all around good vibes. I’m posting a few of the meals we got and you can’t go wrong with anything, all of it was 10/10, including drinks. We were a party of 8 and went during dining under the stars which can get a bit chaotic. Two of our meals came out 20 minutes after everyone else’s but they graciously comped one meal when my friend asked what they could do for hers.

Some of the best food I’ve had in a while. Starting with the ambience, we ate downstairs. It was a bit tight but cozy and full of life and energy. The service was incredible from start to finish, everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. The food… not even sure if I have the words to describe how delicious the food was. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and home made. I have rarely tasted Italian food this good outside of Italy. I would highly, highly, highly recommend dining here for any occasion. Come hungry!
